New Scientist 2005 Roundup

Two good NS pieces: NewScientist.com's top 10 news stories of 2005, ranging from 13 Things That Do Not Make Sense (blogged here before) to the Pentagon's rejected sex weapon designed to make enemy soldiers fall in love.

The unmanned space program is amazing. Space and real science.

On the sex weapon ... I'm skeptical. If it was possible the civilian potential would be so great that the inventor would probably become a billionaire. It would be fun to deploy it at certain religious events though...
